ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA- Italy’s enduring legacy of innovation, craftsmanship, and timeless design took centre stage as the Italian Smart Living 2026 exhibition was officially inaugurated by the Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia, H.E. Sem Fabrizi.

The iconic event ushers in a two-day showcase of globally renowned Italian brands and cutting-edge smart living solutions.

The prestigious exhibition has attracted government officials, diplomats, investors, developers, architects, designers, and business leaders from across East Africa and beyond, reaffirming Italy’s position as a global leader in quality manufacturing, architecture, interior design, construction technologies, and sustainable living.

Among the distinguished guests was Dr. Edwin Musiime, President of Luxury Group Africa and EHS, who praised the rich heritage and global excellence of Italian brands, describing them as a benchmark for quality, innovation, and luxury.

Dr. Edwin, who also serves as the Africa Diaspora Corporation Ambassador for East Africa, said Africa has much to gain by strengthening partnerships with Italian companies, particularly in smart cities, sustainable housing, luxury interiors, manufacturing, and technology transfer.

He noted that deeper collaboration would accelerate innovation, create investment opportunities, and support the continent’s growing urbanisation agenda.

The exhibition serves as a premier platform for business networking, knowledge exchange, and commercial partnerships, further strengthening economic ties between Italy and Africa while opening new opportunities for trade, investment, and sustainable development.
